Pastor Gary Schippling is the senior pastor at Blessed Hope. Pastor Gary is committed to following God's will in his own life and in the life of Blessed Hope. "A lot of people out there who need to know the love of Jesus, and it is up to us to work our hardest to share that love." Pastor Gary believes in God's absolute power of forgiveness, grace and love to transform all who give Him a chance. Romans 5:6 says: "You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly." How to live out that faith and reach out to others are key themes in Pastor Gary's messages.
Called to the ministry in his 50s, Pastor Gary encourages all those who feel the Lord's call on their lives to respond "Yes, Lord!"
"It is amazing what God can do with a person, even with someone like me," he says. "Our age, our physical health, or our economic standing does not impede God. If He calls you, go."
Pastor Crystal Schippling is the administrative pastor for Blessed Hope. Active in teaching, the work of the mission and special projects, she relies on Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Many times, she has seen firsthand how God meets needs in remarkable ways and she is always happy to share how He loves!
Alicia Schippling is the Music Minister and Worship Leader at Blessed Hope. Alicia has a deep love of music and a strong desire to serve the Lord. She has a very extensive knowledge of Christian music, as she has performed it since a very young age. She has also been professionally trained vocally. A great compliment to our ministerial team.
Pastor Patti Flanigan is the worship and prayer minister. In addition to keeping prayer an integral part of our worship, Pastor Patti teaches about prayer and about the transformation possible with Christ. She is also actively involved in encouraging prayers for the persecuted church, including Pastor Saeed, Asia Bibi and others. Pastor Patti takes seriously the words of Micah: "He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8)
Pastor Milton Resh is an associate pastor with Blessed Hope. Milt worked in the ministry for many years before retirement, and his wisdom and discernment are a bonus to our ministry team. A believer since Woodstock (yes, really), and of Jewish heritage, Milt adds a lot of insight in his sermons, and provides helpful details to various elements of both the Old and New Testaments. He is also gifted with a great sense of humor.
