Through the resources God has abundantly provided, the Blessed Hope building is open to reach out to meet community needs seven days a week.
Since 2006, our members, along with the members of 15 other churches, organizations and private groups, have served those in need of a meal. Meals are provided at noon and 5:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; Wednesday, dinner only at 5:00 PM; Saturday, lunch only at noon; and Sunday, dinner is served at 4:00 PM.
A food pantry, open three days per week, provides emergency food to anyone needing help. All that is required is a photo identification card of some type. While cash support of any kind is not available, resource information is made available to access the other places that do offer help of that kind. Food pantry hours are Tuesday and Friday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM; and Thursday¸ 1:00 - 4:00 PM. Appointments can be made to get assistance with resource information.
The Community Meeting Room is home to AA meetings at 8:30 AM, Monday through Saturday. CASA meets Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM. CASA's purpose is to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space for compassion, understanding and recovery from "addictive-compulsive" dishonest behavior, primarily shoplifting, fraud, kleptomania and embezzlement.
Sometimes it is necessary for individuals to work community service hours to meet court-ordered requirements. It is a great blessing to have those volunteers among others. Contact us for more information.
